Making Tracks for Bobcats
Each year the Making Tracks for Bobcats event is a HUGE success and everyone continues to love this fundraiser! This year's 1-mile fun walk took place at the Jones Middle School Track on October 4, 2024. Students walked with classmates in their grade throughout the day, all while enjoying school spirit, music, fun with friends and a sweet treat. Each student received a special Barrington Bobcat t-shirt and spirit wear item to commemorate the event and as a thank you for their participation in helping us surpass our goal! PLUS there was a fun photo op experience after the walk!
Making Tracks for Bobcats is Barrington PTO's main Fall Fundraiser. It raises money to support additional learning opportunities at Barrington including: guest speakers, field trips, external programming, and hands-on, authentic experiences for our students.
A suggested donation of $50 per student allows us to reach (and in 2024 surpass) our goal, but of course we are grateful for any level of financial support the community provides. Many families share the donation link with friends, family, neighbors, and anyone else who is interested in supporting our students' efforts!
If you are interested in volunteering, assisting with sponsorships, or know someone who owns a small business and would be interested, please reach out to our chairs, Maria Piersall (taskerme@hotmail.com) and Katie Wilkinson (katiekelso21@gmail.com). Planning for the 2025 Making Tracks for Bobcats event will be underway soon and we would love to connect with you. Thank you in advance for the support!
