“While the Eastern Woodland Danced, the Fire Still Burned”
by Joey, grade 5
As they danced in a circle,
The fire still burned.
As they danced through the night,
The fire still burned.
As they danced through the hot day,
The fire still burned.
As they danced through two seasons,
The fire still burned.
When Winter struck,
The fire still burned.
But when they stopped dancing and went away,
The fire went out.
