Clown Around 2011 will be a special day of games, food, prizes and family fun held on Saturday, October 8th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Clown Around is a cherished Barrington tradition that our children look forward to year after year. It’s also a great opportunity for the school community to come together to visit with friends and show support for one of the finest schools in our area.
Please read the following pages carefully for important information
regarding this year’s event. There are
several forms to complete and a special “Fridge Note” for you to keep as a
reminder of your Clown Around donations.
Please return all completed materials to your child’s teacher by
Wednesday, September 28th.

Give your gently used coats and books toBarrington
and show your kids how giving their old items to charity is a win,
win situation!
This year, we are very excited about partnering up with
the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Pleasure Guild of Nationwide
Children’s Hospital.
- The Blue Jackets host a
“Jackets for Jackets” coat drive that helps keep centralOhio families warm.
- The Pleasure Guild
distributes books for patients to read while staying at the hospital. They welcome the donation of any books
anywhere from baby to adult age groups (including Spanish ones).
During the week leading
up to Clown Around October 3-7,
we will be collecting
the books & coats (ANY SIZE) before school at three locations:
Stop-drop-and-go, the Andovercourtyard and the
corner of NW Blvd. & Guilford
The coats will be collected by grade.
The winning grade will win a sweet treat the Monday morning after
Clown Around!!

Silent Auction: Something
Fun for You
While Clown Around is fun for kids, the carnival’s Silent Auction
is fun for adults! Generous
contributions from Upper Arlington
and beyond have led to a wide array of auction items that you won’t want to
miss. Make sure to take time to visit
the auction site in the cafeteria to place your bid on exciting items like
Kid’s Birthday packages, spa packages and many more!
