It’s time to Clown Around!
When: Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 10am – 2pm
Where: Andover Courtyard, Andover Road, and the Jones Field
Greetings Barrington families, friends, and supporters!
It is time to start Clowning Around to help raise money for our ONLY fundraiser this year, where families and local businesses come together to support our children’s education.
There will be bounce houses, obstacle courses, carnival games, face painting, food, raffles, and back by popular demand the mechanical bull. Most importantly we will have a dunk tank to give our principal and teachers a refreshing start to the year.
Clown Around is a day for local families, friends and students to have fun at their school while raising important funds to enrich the learning environment with tools not covered by the regular school district budget. One hundred percent of the proceeds directly benefit our amazing students. In the past, these PTO funds have supported STEM and Maker equipment, specialized learning furniture for the media center, playground equipment, and musical instruments.
There are many ways you can help make the event a success.
1) Become a Family Sponsor by making a tax-deductible monetary donation
We have 6 sponsorship levels for every budget. We added many options, making sponsorship more awarding, including free punch cards, raffle tickets, free food, drink and ice cream.
As a special recognition for our highest-level sponsors, we will dedicate trees planted in the new outdoor learning courtyard with dedicated or shared plaques to contributing families. This is an amazing way for you or an entire class to leave your legacy for future generations.

4) Consider volunteering for one or more shifts at Clown Around.
Volunteers day-of event are CRITICAL for the event’s success! The class with the most parent volunteers will win a classroom prize. Middle school and high school volunteers will receive service hours.
If you have a child in middle school or high school who is interested in volunteering, this year he/she will be signing up on the X2Vol system. This is the system UA students use to log their service hours. Your child can search for Barrington Clown Around and sign up online.
5) Bid for amazing gifts and experience baskets in our online auction starting Saturday, September 14th at noon.
This year we have an online silent auction that will last for two weeks. By using our online platform you will be notified by e-mail anytime someone outbids you. The auction will end 30 min prior to CA ending at 1:30pm on 9/28. New items will be added to the site on a rolling basis.
You can view the auction by going to the above link and do not need to create an account until you decide to bid on an item.
6) Become a Corporate Sponsor
Various sponsorship levels are available. Corporate sponsors will receive recognition on the PTO website, sign on school property at least 2 weeks prior to the event and during the event, recognition on social media, and live announcements at the event as well as punch cards and benefits at the event. There are amble game and activity sponsors available where your corporate logo will be displayed at the event next to that activity. Thank you for all the ways you support Barrington and the PTO!
We could not make this a success without all your efforts. Let us have some fun and clown around!
